Qingdao Grand Theatre

Qingdao Grand Theatre is a major cultural project of Qingdao, located in west of Yunling Road, Laoshan District, Qingdao and south of Meiling, north of Hong Kong East Road, east of the central axis of the commercial plaza. The theatre is a large-scale public welfare cultural facility funded and constructed by Qingdao Guoxin Group on behalf of municipal government. It plays an important industrial platform role in the development of Qingdao cultural undertakings.

Qingdao Grand Theatre opened in 2010. It covers an area of 66,000 square meters, with a total floor area of 87,000 square meters, including a 1600 seat theater, a 1,200 seat concert hall, a 400 seat multi-purpose hall and an art exchange center of 4,000 square meters, a 130 rooms actor-reception center and other supporting subsidiary buildings, which can take nearly 300 people for food and lodging, and can accommodate 500 vehicles on the ground and under the ground. The whole building adopts 4 single monomers laid out separately, which are connected as one by connecting large platforms with ceiling steel grids, maintaining not only their own independent spaces and ease of use alone, but also allowing the mutual gathering and the unified management. The theater can meet the performance demands of the large-scale opera, dance drama, modern drama, folk music, chamber music, large-scale variety shows and large-scale symphonies. Qingdao Grand Theatre passed ISO9001 Quality Management System certification in August 2012.

Qingdao Poly Grand Theater Performance Corporation Limited was founded in 2010. It is affiliated to Beijing Poly Theatre Management Co., Ltd. and takes charge of the operation and management of Qingdao Poly Grand Theater.
